Warm clothes for grandparents delivered thanks to you!

The charity fund “Second Breath” donates clothes to grandparents, warm clothes in winter, especially jackets and shoes. This year more than 7500 elderly people in 15 regions are waiting for our help. Many elderly people, even the most active and social in their younger years, find themselves in a situation where they are no longer able to cope with their difficulties on their own. According to Rosstat data for 2022, 26.3% of pensioners' families cannot afford to buy clothes. Without warm clothes and shoes, lonely pensioners remain locked in their own homes, risking their health and ceasing to live a full life. Thanks to your help, they will be able to go grocery shopping or to the clinic, go to the city or just visit friends. To provide 7500 pensioners with warm clothes this season, we will prepare more than 37 tons of clothes and shoes for them. For this purpose, every day we collect things through containers installed in the city, after that we deliver them to the Foundation's Sorting Center and manually look through each item. We send people things only in good condition and according to the season. Our sorters sort up to 400 kilograms of clothes every day to make sure that an elderly person has all the things he or she needs. Then we form parcels of warm pants, hats, shoes and, of course, outerwear. We are asking you to help us provide a portion of the Foundation's costs for the Sorting Center and the labor of the sorter. This is the place where help for grandparents begins - here we do everything to make sure that warm clothes reach those who especially need them this winter.
