A family instead of an orphanage! 14 children from orphanages participated in the musical "Mama". This is a joint project "Family as a Gift" of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theater and the Yellow Stork Charitable Foundation. The Family as a Gift project gives children joy and a new experience in the role of a real actor, helps them reach their potential, find new friends and, most importantly, creates conditions for family and child to meet outside the orphanage. For ten years now, the project has been helping orphaned children find relatives. "The children involved in the productions get a new social experience, which is very valuable. They are becoming noticeably more open in communication. This is important for potential foster parents who are meeting their children for the first time. That is why we try to involve as many students as possible in the performances, because this experience shows very good statistics," said Ruslan Mokrousov, head of the foundation.
