Lyanova Lemke is 52 years old. A cancer diagnosis sounds like a terrible and inexorable verdict. In eight years, she has undergone a difficult road to recovery: six courses of chemotherapy, 16 cycles of radiation therapy, and two surgeries to remove the tumor. But the disease doesn't go away. To monitor the progression of the disease, Lemke needs to go to the Rostov Research Institute of Oncology every six months. Lemka lives with her sister and has no family of her own.
