Dear Tubers! Thanks to your help, we were able to purchase air tickets for two children to the place of treatment and home! Kamola from Samarkand, Khalid from Tashkent, both children flew to the LOGBUZ hospital in St. Petersburg for another operation to restore vision. Kamola underwent a procedure on her right eye, during which scar tissue is removed from the vitreous body and from the surface of the retina. This made it possible to minimize tissue trauma. Complete restoration of vision in this situation is impossible, the ophthalmologist's efforts were aimed at preserving the anatomical integrity of the eyeball and preventing secondary glaucoma. Khalid's hospitalization ended with a successful operation to stabilize the anatomical position of the eyeball using a special implant "Alloplant". The main goal - preserving the eyeballs as an anatomical basis for possible future rehabilitation - was achieved. Thank you for participating in the collection!
