Vladimir Kononov was born prematurely. When he was 1 month old, he had a bowel surgery, which saved his life. At 1 year and 4 months the doctors diagnosed Vova with cerebral palsy, spastic tetraparesis, gastrointestinal tract malformation (intestinal stenosis), congenital hidden cleft of the soft and hard and congenital stunting.
Due to the diagnoses, the boy underwent 10 surgeries - orthopedic, gastrointestinal and maxillofacial. At the end of 2021 Vova experienced rapid growth, his muscles started weakening and spasticity appeared (excessive muscle tone and involuntary movements) throughout his body, even in his hands, where it had never been before. Every day the boy moved around worse and worse, and in February 2022 he could walk only with a walking frame and then he couldn’t even stand by support anymore.
In 2024 Vova underwent another surgery, after which he needs intensive exercise and rehabilitation not only in medical centers, but also at home. A treadmill will help the teenager. Let’s all together help Vova in his recovery after the operation so that he could improve his walking skills.
Your contribution will also help partially pay the work of Movement Up Foundation administration staff.
Дай Аллах тебе здоровья Вова и счастья, не смотря на тяжесть испытаний🤲🏽
