Seniors who live alone and don't have the support of family members need help with basic needs like food and cleaning supplies.
One of our regular recipients is Natalia Dmitrievna from St. Petersburg. She's been a hardworking person her whole life. From the age of 16, she worked at construction sites and factories, and before retiring, she even worked as a meteorologist at a weather station in Karelia. Despite her impressive work history, Natalia Dmitrievna's pension is just a little more than the minimum amount. All of it goes to paying for utilities, medicine, and food. Natalia also takes care of her disabled son who relies on her.
"I already know all the places in the city where they give free lunches: you can eat there or take away. And at home, I love cleanliness and order, but cleaning chemicals have become so expensive. I can manage only with the support of the Fund. But I don't complain and don't lose heart; there's always a way out!", says Natalia Dmitrievna.
Together with Natalia Dmitrievna, many other people in need are waiting for our help: single older adults with a minimum pension, elderly women who care for disabled adult children, and other people in need. We ask for your support to help them get through tough times and face the future with more confidence. We can buy and give 60 large food packages and cleaning supplies to the most needy seniors!
