Dear Tubers, we have wonderful news! Nicole’s orthopedic surgery in Greece was successful — she bravely endured the procedure and the challenging first hours of recovery. The doctors rewarded her courage with a real medal and a big portion of ice cream, while the translator gave her a beautiful doll.
Thanks to your support, Nicole didn’t have to wait to start her rehabilitation — the fundraiser was completed in just a week! It was a true pre-holiday miracle.
“Dear Tubers, from our whole family, we want to thank each and every one of you! Nicole is still in rehabilitation, but she has already made great progress — she has grown stronger, has better control over her body while walking, and takes more confident steps. She has even started standing by the wall on her own, without our support! Her hands have become more relaxed, and now she can assemble puzzles and sing her favorite songs into a microphone,” says her mother.
Nicole’s mood varies during therapy sessions, but the specialist always finds an approach that works for her. The current focus is on working with her pelvis and improving her ability to control her body in space.
And recently, Nicole got a bicycle! She is eagerly learning to pedal so that when the weather gets warmer, she can go for rides outside.
All of these incredible achievements wouldn’t have been possible without your support. Thank you for your big hearts, dear Tubers!

Nicole dreams of learning to walk, she needs rehabilitation after orthopedic surgery
Nicole is 4 years old, and her parents believe that she is the most smiling child on earth. Severe congenital diagnoses still seriously limit her movements, but do not prevent the baby from exploring the world. She learned to speak early and loves when her mother reads poems about animals to her. “If she likes a poem, she can learn it in a couple of readings. Speech becomes better and clearer every year,” the mother shares her daughter’s success.
Nicole has been struggling with the disease since birth; her medical record contains many diagnoses - cerebral palsy, spasticity, structural abnormalities of the hip joints and feet, subluxations of the femoral head. The parents have been rehabilitating the girl since she was 7 months old, but until this winter the progress was very modest. But Nicole never learned to walk on her own, and recently negative dynamics began.
The parents tried all the methods of treating their daughter in Russia and decided to take Nicole for orthopedic surgery in Greece (in Russia, such an intervention can only be performed at the age of 7-10 years). The baby's mom and dad paid for the operation themselves; it will help the girl avoid similar interventions in the future.
After the operation, Nicole is required to undergo long-term rehabilitation here in Russia. This is a bobat therapy course that will help the girl recover and teach her new movements. It will let you feel your body and help you use muscles that were in severe spasticity before the operation.
The girl’s parents do not have the financial ability to pay for rehabilitation on their own after expensive treatment in Greece.
We really need your help, dear Tubers!
