Ayub has just turned 8 years old. This year his cherished dream came true - the boy spent a month in a regular school like all other children. He went to classes and diligently did his homework. But, unfortunately, for health reasons Muhammadyub was forced to be home-schooled.
The boy has two severe diagnoses at once - ataxia (movement coordination disorder) and primary immunodeficiency, Louis-Bar syndrome (a rare genetic anomaly that makes a child defenseless against infections and increases the risk of cancer).
There was not a month that the boy did not end up in hospital with severe complications and high fever - purulent otitis media, pneumonia, bronchitis, intestinal inflammation. Ayub was treated with high doses of antibiotics. But the effect of therapy did not last long.
Moscow immunologists prescribed Muhammadayub a course of treatment with immunoglobulins. These are donor antibodies that fill in the gaps in his own immunity. But in the near future the family has no chance to get the necessary drugs for free.
Ayub needs this treatment as soon as possible. Each new day without therapy threatens the boy with the development of new dangerous complications.
