Nikolozi has finished the chemotherapy course

Nine-year-old Nikolozi is a very active and cheerful child. He is a homeschooled pupil in the second grade. Nikolozi enjoys reading books and loves to play football. Until his illness, he spent all his free time on the sports ground with a ball. Now, following the doctors’ recommendations, the physical activity had to be reduced, but Nikolozi continues to play football as much as possible. He dreams of becoming a professional football player, like his favorite player Cristiano Ronaldo. In the summer of 2021, the boy started complaining of nausea and headache. Soon, new symptoms appeared - vomiting in the morning and impaired coordination of movements. His parents took Nikolozi to a doctor, who prescribed treatment for him, but his health continued to deteriorate. Then the neurologist sent Nikolozi for an MRI, and the results showed the presence of a brain tumor. Nicolosi had surgery to remove the neoplasm and install an Ommaya reservoir to inject drugs directly into the ventricles of the brain. After the surgery, Nikolozi underwent radiation and chemotherapy courses, and was under dynamic supervision of doctors for about a year. However, a control MRI revealed tumor metastases. The next stage in the fight against the disease was chemotherapy, one of the courses of which Nikolozi has already passed thanks to your help.
