Alina is 11 years old. She loves music, loves playing with water, visiting public places and observing everything around her with interest. Alina is open to the world, despite the difficult path she has been travelling since birth.
The girl has severe diagnoses: congenital heart defect, bilateral hearing loss of the 4th degree, coloboma of the vasculature, partial atrophy of the optic nerve and cerebral palsy.
Alina underwent two complex heart surgeries and one ear surgery, but attempts to install an implant to improve her hearing were unsuccessful due to the peculiarities of her health. However, this event did not stop Alina's mum from continuing her daughter's treatment and development.
Alina is an amazingly strong girl. She has learnt to sit, stand on her feet and walk with one arm support. Her successes are the result of numerous rehabilitations in Russia and abroad. The girl attends a special school for the hearing impaired together with her peers, works with a sign language therapist, a speech pathologist, a psychologist, and also takes regular physical therapy classes.
But for further successes Alina needs to continue rehabilitation, which the family is unable to pay for. Her mum is raising her daughter alone, she cannot work at the moment, as the only support for her were her parents, who now also need care due to their own illnesses.
