Vladik has passed the rehabilitation course!

Vladik was born at term, but oxygen deprivation occurred during labour and the boy was taken to intensive care. At the hearing test the boy did not pass the audio screening. Parents checked themselves daily whether the child could hear loud sounds, but Vladik did not pay attention. A diagnosis was made - hearing loss. The parents first of all bought hearing aids and looked for a sign language therapist for lessons, but there was no sign language therapist in the city. Vladik started to study with a speech therapist-defectologist, but it was not enough. In the summer of 2024, Vladik had his first auditory-verbal rehabilitation, and good dynamics started: his passive vocabulary was enriched, his understanding of spoken language became better, and separate words and now small phrases appeared. The new rehabilitation course will help Vladik to speak and learn to interact with peers and adults. If not to work now, the child may not speak at all, because now - at the age of 3 - is the period of active speech formation. The boy's family spends quite a lot of money on lessons with a speech therapist and there is no extra money left, so they turned to our fund for help!
