Friends! You helped Hamid to visit Moscow orthopedic surgeon at GMS clinic: you paid the consultation, examination, and flight of mom with the baby to Moscow and back. Hamid was not allowed to move because of his disease and they planned to keep his legs in one position for many months with the expectation that the head of the femur would be set and fixed. Hamid found such immobilization very difficult, the boy began to have mental disorders, his mother had already noted the development of autistic traits in her son, and her main question to the doctor was whether treatment was possible without fixing the child in one position. She was very afraid for Hamid's psyche and was at a crossroads: what to try to save - his joint or his mind. Fortunately for mom and Gamid the doctor concluded that the boy can and should move. Not running or jumping, of course, but he can walk peacefully now without risk to the joint. And in a year or so come back for a consultation - perhaps such drastic measures as plastering won't be needed. And if they are needed, a child who has spent a year surrounded by other children, who has had enough exercise and rest from bed rest will have an easier time with it. Doctors who watched the boy can be understood - it is better to reinsure than to harm, but such reinsurance is not worth the destruction of the child's psyche. Hamid started to attend educational classes - he likes them very much - and go for walks. He draws a lot, as before, but now his drawings have bright colors.
