Khadija is 7 years old and has faced serious medical challenges since birth. Her diagnoses include a heart defect, cystic adenomatous lung defect and many other complications. Khadija suffers from shortness of breath on physical exertion, rapid fatigue, and a funnel-shaped chest deformity. In addition, Khadija also has a valgus deformity of the left foot.
