Thanks to your support, Nadezhda, an employee of the Devoted Heart shelter, has been studying to become a zoopsychologist since the summer of 2025. The training is long and deep — it will last until the spring of next year, and each module brings practical benefits to the students.
She is already putting theory into practice, helping timid, anxious, and "wild" cats adapt to the shelter and gently work with their fears and aggression. Thanks to this work, ponytails become more in touch, respond better to people, and find families faster.
Previously, the shelter had to turn to outside specialists, which required significant expenses. Now, thanks to your help, competencies are emerging within the team — this makes the work sustainable and saves money, which we direct to treatment, food and maintenance of the wards.
