Four-year-old Mustafa needs help with rehabilitation after cochlear implantation. The two-week course will help the child build up his vocabulary, learn to understand the speech of others, pronounce sounds correctly and build simple sentences.
Mustafa's hearing has been excellent since birth. He babbled in time and by the age of one and a half he began to speak simple words - “mommy”, “daddy”, “gimme”. And also his name. However, after a severe pneumonia, which rapidly developed into meningitis, the child became completely deaf and began to lose his sight.
As a matter of urgency the child was prescribed glasses and cochlear implants were installed in both ears. As soon as the “phones” were connected and set up, regular lessons with a speech therapist began, because several months spent in complete silence, sharply slowed down the child's speech development. It took almost two years for Mustafa to begin to understand others and speak.
But his speech is still incomprehensible to others, as it is a difficult task for a child with cochlear implants to produce complex consonant sounds. In addition, Mustafa has a limited vocabulary. He needs the help of many specialized specialists at once. It is not a problem to find them in one rehabilitation center. The problem is to pay for an expensive course. Let's support Mustafa so that he can speak clearly and confidently!
