Yusuf has completed an intensive rehabilitation course!

Yusuf is 9 years old; he has delayed psycho-speech development and autism spectrum disorder. By the age of two, the boy did not respond to his name and had no speech.

As part of this rehabilitation course, the child worked daily for three weeks with specialists in ABA therapy, sensory integration, adaptive physical education, and with a speech therapist-defectologist. The boy also attended hardware-based procedures, namely sessions of hyperbaric oxygen therapy and therapy using the Tomatis method. The combination of sessions and hardware-based procedures helped Yusuf acquire new skills!

During the sessions, specialists worked on teaching the child the skill of making requests and discriminating between stimuli. Yusuf also mastered listener behavior—he learned to follow spatial instructions and instructions involving objects! Yusuf's motor skills improved; he became significantly better at imitating both gross and fine motor movements, as well as imitation with objects.

There is positive progress in the development of the child's visual perception and logical thinking. For example, Yusuf learned the skill of visual matching; now he can compare non-identical cards and objects! The boy also studied the names of verbs, building associative links, and even describing story pictures.
