Alexander has been born with a rare genetic disorder, epidermolysis bullosa. His skin is so fragile that it can be damaged even by the friction of clothing seams. Because of this, he tries to avoid going outside unnecessarily.

But even at home, his skin needs special care and protection. Every morning for Alexander starts the same way: he treats his wounds, punctures the blisters that have formed on his skin, applies special ointments, and carefully changes the dressings. All the procedures take several hours.

But the main problem is the high cost of medical supplies and the impossibility of getting them for free. While children with rare genodermatoses can still count on state support, adults have to rely only on themselves.
