Sasha is 12 years old. Since 2020, he has been fighting a serious illness—leukemia.
The boy has undergone chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and a bone marrow transplant. Unfortunately, the transplanted bone marrow did not take: the donor cells began to perceive Sasha's body tissues as foreign and attack them. This led to damage to his gastrointestinal tract, liver, skin, and joints. In addition, he developed diabetes, hypothyroidism, rhinitis, and other complications.
Due to his health condition, Sasha is homeschooled and requires constant care. He has limited mobility and uses a wheelchair.
The treatments he underwent have seriously affected his digestive system: food is absorbed less efficiently than necessary, and his appetite and weight have also been impacted. The doctor prescribed Sasha a special medical diet—it helps his body receive the necessary nutrients and supports his strength on the road to recovery. This nutrition is not provided by the federal budget, and Sasha's family cannot afford to purchase it on their own.
Let's support Sasha together and help him continue his treatment!
