Volunteers rescued Akito the cat from the streets of the city. The cat is very drawn to people, which suggests that he was once a pet. However, his condition indicates that he spent more than a few months on the street: he is battered, almost toothless (though not an old cat), and has a range of respiratory infectious diseases.
Akito was placed in a foster home, where they tried to treat him with medication for several months, but his symptoms persist. He has major problems with his nose—it is slightly deformed, and he has constant sneezing and bloody discharge.
Now Akito needs to undergo instrumental diagnostics—specifically, KT and rhinoscopy. This will make it possible to accurately determine why his respiratory symptoms are not resolving and to begin a new stage of treatment.
