Daniil is 14 years old. He grew up as an ordinary boy, loved to play, and socialized with his peers. But in December 2023, the boy had his first epileptic seizure while sleeping. Since then, seizures have occurred every day, changing in form: there have been both absences and convulsions.
The hardest thing now is that the boy's memory and vision are deteriorating. He goes to school and tries to keep up with his studies, but memorizing new material has become very difficult.
Despite all the challenges, Daniil remains cheerful and sociable. He loves learning English and spending time with friends. He has a large and close-knit family—this is his main support: his dad, mom, younger sister, grandmothers, and grandfather. They are always there for each other and help one another. There are also two furry family members—a dog named Tayson and a cat named Murzik—who are true therapists and loyal friends for Daniil.
Daniil has already undergone many medical examinations and changes of medication, but stable remission has not been achieved. Doctors have diagnosed him with 'genetic focal epilepsy' and prescribed a genetic test—exome sequencing. This will help find the exact cause of the disease and select the right treatment.
Please help Daniil pay for this test so he can continue studying, play with friends, and simply live a full life without the fear of another seizure.
