Safiya will soon turn two years old. The little girl has been diagnosed with delayed psycho-speech development (DPSD) and cerebral palsy (CP). The parents learned about the diagnosis when she was about nine months old, but they had noticed warning signs almost from birth. Even in the maternity hospital, they paid attention to her congenital ptosis—one of her eyes was noticeably smaller than the other. By three months, the girl was not bearing weight on her legs and did not respond to her relatives. At six months, the family consulted a neurologist and began examinations, and from nine months they started active rehabilitation: massages, electrophoresis, and other procedures became part of their lives.
Now Safiya is almost two years old. She still does not crawl, walk, or put her feet down for support. The girl does not say a single word, does not understand spoken language, and hardly responds to her name.
At this important time, Safiya needs rehabilitation. However, the family's financial resources have been exhausted: it is difficult for the parents to cope with the expenses, especially since there is another special needs child in the family.
Let’s support Safiya and give her a chance to undergo the course that is so important for her development!
