Yulya is sixteen years old. Last year, she was diagnosed with cancer, and since then her life has been measured not by the school schedule, but by hospitals, chemotherapy courses, and waiting. After another round of chemotherapy, her aunt lost her guardian status, and the girl ended up in an orphanage. Due to stress and fear of the unknown in the institution, and later in the rehabilitation center, she preferred to stay alone, hardly ever leaving her room.
The closest person to the girl became her nanny, who was provided by the foundation during her treatment in Moskva. Together, they prepared for school exams, chose a dress for graduation, and went through the most difficult stages of treatment. The nanny helped with homework, encouraged her, and was simply there for her.
"Yulya is a beautiful, intelligent, and very multifaceted girl," says the nanny. "Despite her illness, she graduated from the school at NII Blokhina with honors. And recently, she started learning Italian on her own. Yulya has huge plans for her life."
Yulya is already grown up and understands well what is happening to her, but she still does not lose faith in the best and hopes that she will be able to fulfill her dreams.
Help us pay for the nanny's work so she can continue to support Yulya during her difficult treatment.
