The condition of seven-month-old Safiya has worsened. The girl was transferred to a regular ward for just a few days. But now the baby is back in intensive care, and the hospital has given the family a new bill for treatment.
The girl has a severe congenital disease—nephrotic syndrome. Both of her kidneys have been removed, and now her life depends on dialysis, which cleans her blood and replaces the function of her kidneys. Safiya is too young to understand what is happening to her.
"I see my little daughter only a few hours a day. She is so small, and I am afraid for her. We believe that our baby will make it. But every day in intensive care is very expensive. I ask you, please help our little daughter," says Safiya's mother.
In her seven months of life, Safiya has spent only about a month at home. Safiya is a citizen of another country, so her treatment is only available for a fee. The new bill from the hospital has become an overwhelming challenge for her parents.
Let’s help little Safiya continue her treatment! Let’s support her parents and help the baby get the medical care she needs. Your help is priceless!
