Viktoriya is a long-awaited child. But in May 2026, the first seizure occurred. Examinations began, and the diagnosis of 'epilepsy' was made. Doctors suspected a genetic nature of the disease and recommended genetic testing.

Viktoriya is now 1 year old. She is a smart little girl. She still suffers from daily epileptic seizures, but she does not lose heart. Vika can say many words and knows animal sounds. She has a favorite toy—a big fluffy cat named Myauka. On walks, she likes to hold hands and play on the playground. She also loves visiting her grandmother, where she walks in the garden, looking at flowers and plants. On weekends, the whole family tries to spend time together: visiting grandmother or walking in the park.

Now Viktoriya needs whole exome sequencing to make the correct diagnosis and select therapy. This study will help doctors determine further treatment and leave the seizures in the past.
