Not long ago, Adelina lived in a children's residential institution and hardly ever left its grounds. Because of problems with her legs, the girl could not walk, did not attend school, and was separated from her brother.
Doctors believed that Adelina could be helped to walk. An individual treatment plan was developed for her, and for the chance to walk, the girl had to go through a lot.
And it was all worth it—Adelina found an adoptive family. Her brother was also taken home with her, and they were finally able to reunite. Now Adelina lives a life she could not have even dreamed of before: she goes to the movies and cafes with her family, sings in the church choir, helps at home, and is learning to be independent.
Last year, the girl underwent surgery. Now she needs rehabilitation. It is regular therapy sessions that will help Adelina strengthen her muscles, recover, and get closer to her main dream—to learn to walk.
