Rada was born severely premature—at 28 weeks, weighing only 1,489 grams. She spent her first month alone in intensive care, then another month in the pathology department with her mother. At home, the family faced a long struggle with anemia and the challenge of gaining weight up to the cherished five kilograms. Later examinations confirmed the diagnosis: cerebral palsy, spastic tetraparesis.
Rada is now 4 years and 7 months old. Due to damage to her musculoskeletal system, she cannot sit up, stand, walk, or crawl on all fours by herself. However, she understands everything, remembers things, says a few words to communicate, tries to eat with one hand, and reaches for everything new with a smile. Rada is now more confident holding her head, is trying to crawl a little, and can maintain her balance while sitting.
Because of severe spasticity, breaks in therapy lead to complications, so rehabilitation is needed constantly. The family is asking for help to pay for a course of physical therapy and massage so that Rada can grow stronger and make new steps in her development.
