A cough assist machine is a specially designed device to replace coughing functions of the patients with neuromuscular diseases. In order to remove mucus, it creates a pressure difference in the airways with a special mask and shifts mucus from small airways to big ones and then from big airways to the mouth.
It’s vital for Igor and other patients with ALS to have respiratory equipment.
Charitable Foundation Live Now collects donations to repair respiratory equipment, which will be handed over to the patients with ALS.
