Nastya was diagnosed with cerebral palsy when she was one year old. As a child, the girl was so upset that she could not walk that she would hit her legs. My parents tied old curtains to the radiator, and Nastya, holding on to them, stood up and moved her legs.
She learned to walk only at the age of 4, but still falls often. Hyperkinesis—involuntary movements—also makes life difficult. The girl also has a speech impairment - those around her do not understand her well.
Now Nastya is 23 years old. She loves going to the theater, graduated from college remotely, and dreams of becoming a graphic designer.
To improve her speech, reduce the number of involuntary movements and improve her body balance, Nastya needs rehabilitation at the Institute of Medical Technologies. This includes exercise therapy, classes with a speech therapist, and injections.
After each course, the girl notices improvements, and breaks in rehabilitation lead to increased hyperkinesis, Nastya begins to fall again. Please support our fundraiser. Rehabilitation will help the girl stand more firmly on her feet and improve her quality of life.
