Khadija is 7 years old, she was born at 38-39 weeks with a diagnosis of Spina bifida, Arnold Chiari 2.
On the 21st day after birth, the girl underwent her first operation to remove a hernia. She suffered complete paralysis of the lower limbs with no chance of recovery. Also hip subluxations and foot deformities. The functioning of the pelvic organs and incontinence were impaired.
As a result of regularly conducted therapies, the girl began to develop sensitivity, she began to crawl, sit, and stand up against a support. Then they connected another therapy, exercise therapy, and a swimming pool. At the age of 2, Khadija underwent 2 more operations in Turkey. After surgery and rehabilitation, a year later she took her independent steps.
Now Khadija is 7 years old, she is getting ready for school. She limps, but walks. The biggest problem today is incontinence.
The girl is already shy and doesn’t want to work with specialists because she’s afraid that the diaper will leak. Intellectually, Khadija is very developed. Her parents are afraid that she will develop complexes that will remain with her for the rest of her life.
The only way out is to install a sacral nerve stimulation device. But, unfortunately, the cost of the operation is prohibitive for the family. Please support Khadija!
