Olga lives in the Smolensk region. She has a friendly family, a son and a daughter. She always dreamed of becoming a nurse, but life happened in such a way that she came to a medical institution as a patient. The first oncology - sarcoma of the uterine body. Olga courageously underwent 6 courses of chemotherapy and 25 sessions of radiation therapy. Her family was by her side and together they went through the most difficult stages of treatment. The disease receded. But only for a while.
In 2023, Olga was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. She is being treated in Obninsk.
Now Olga needs a bone marrow transplant. Her brother can become a potential donor. But first they need to do a special genetic study of the blood sample - HLA-typing. This is necessary in order to understand whether the relative is suitable as a donor for the transplant. This test is not included in the OMC programme, so it cannot be done for free.
