Vita underwent a 9-hour video-EEG sleep monitoring and magnetic resonance imaging to adjust the previously prescribed antiepileptic therapy.

Based on the results of the examination, some anticonvulsants were discontinued and new ones were prescribed. It was also recommended to undergo additional examinations, as the seizures became lighter, but did not disappear completely.

Vita needs to have brain tests to determine antiepileptic therapy

Vita is four years old. He has agonizing epilepsy attacks.

For the first 10 months of his life the boy was an orphan and therefore lived in a children's home. But Vitya was lucky and for 3 years he has had a family with 6 other minor children, five of them with disabilities.

During the first days of Vitya's stay in the family his foster parents noticed strange repetitive shaking of the whole body and immediately went to the doctor. So the boy was diagnosed with epilepsy, which, despite drug antiepileptic therapy and two brain surgeries, has only increased with age. To date, the seizures are regular and agonizing, occurring several times a day.

In order to correct the treatment of epilepsy attacks, doctors recommended that Vita urgently undergo a number of high-tech examinations.
