The charity fund “Second Breath” makes sure that shelters have the right amount of bedding and that employees and volunteers have clothes in which they can work with animals. In winter it is especially important because animals have to live outside and people have to work.
Now we are collecting money so that the shelter “Lohmatyi Drug” in the Smolensk region will receive help in time. There are 180 animals there, and we need to give them 1500 kg of bedding, beds and consumable textiles for the winter. Let the animals spend the winter in warmth!
Textiles for insulation of cages and bedding and changeable (working) clothes for volunteers - this is what is always needed in shelters. Thanks to this, sick animals are provided with clean sheets and beds, and volunteers can walk with animals, clean the territory, spread hay and do not fear for the only winter jacket.
All the work of the Second Breath Foundation is aimed at ensuring that unwanted clothes continue to do good. We give clothes in good condition to people in need, recycle what cannot be worn. And part of the collected items we send to animal shelters. In this way we relieve our employees and volunteers of the burden of searching and selecting things, saving their energy and money, which is very much needed to take care of four-legged animals.
Money is needed to pay the sorter and the loader, who pick the items and collect the shipments. Their work is the most inconspicuous, and the most indispensable. And also - to pay for logistics to the shelter in the Penza region, the city of Zarechny, so that the things get to the animals and their people.
