IACAD License No: PRHCE-00539065 3-year-old Talia was born with double inlet left ventricle (DILV), a very rare congenital heart condition where the heart develops only one ventricle — the essential pumping chamber of the heart. Talia’s young life is a testament to resilience, but she requires open-heart surgery to correct this challenging defect. Talia’s parents, originally from Syria and Uzbekistan, have called the UAE home for over a decade. Her father works at a barbershop while her mother cares for Talia and her siblings. Since her birth, Talia has undergone two surgeries.
