Maryam has undergone intensive rehabilitation!

Maryam started holding her head and turning over late, she took her first steps at the age of 2. After the examination, several diagnoses were made – a disorder of psychological and speech development, general speech underdevelopment of level 1 with a pronounced mixed disorder of behavior and emotions. After working with a behavioral analyst, Maryam mastered the skill of asking using PECS alternative communication cards. The girl learned to compare identical and non-identical objects and images, shapes and colors, and distinguish between motivational stimuli. Now Maryam can express her desires, visual contact has been improved, and an understanding of spoken language has appeared. The sensory integration specialist worked with the girl on exercises for various types of perception: tactile, visual, olfactory, vestibular. Maryam learned how to swing on a swing, playing ladushki, go through obstacle courses on her own, climb stairs. Thanks to classes with an adaptive sports instructor, the girl improved her physical fitness, became more resilient and confident. She mastered the treadmill, learned how to jump, play with a ball, ride a scooter and a gyro scooter. During her rehabilitation, Maryam also underwent a course of hyperbaric oxygen therapy, which had a beneficial effect on the girl's attention, reaction and speed of thinking.
