The boy has third-degree bilateral sensorineural hearing loss. My son's first hearing aids were provided by an HMO, but they had no noise reduction function and distorted sounds. It was impossible to study at school with them. So Bogdan started school without any devices. The first years he coped, as he sat at the first desk near the teachers, even became an excellent student in the class. But over time his residual hearing began to decrease, the boy stopped distinguishing hisses in speech, he had problems with spelling and pronunciation of words. We came to the rescue just in time. Thanks to your support, Bogdan now has powerful hearing aids that he is happy to wear.

Bogdan can't hear: he needs powerful hearing aids

Bogdan, 10, has such poor hearing that he cannot understand a speaker from three feet away. Without powerful hearing aids, the child will not be able to develop normally and will fall behind in his studies.

Two years before school, the parents began to notice that their youngest son was constantly turning up the volume on the TV and in conversation he was repeating every word. Examinations confirmed a 3rd degree hearing loss in both ears. Bogdan cannot hear whispers, and if his mother calls him from the kitchen he cannot understand her speech.

Bogdan was given hearing aids for school, but they are not suitable for use in a noisy environment such as a classroom. Amplifying all extraneous noises, these aids turned the sounds around him into a cacophony. Bogdan was never able to wear them. He went to school as he was.

Now the boy sits on the first desk, from here to the teacher less than three steps, so you can hear - Bogdan is an excellent student. But every year it is more and more difficult for him to keep this bar. He does not distinguish between hisses in speech, because of this there are problems with pronunciation and spelling of some words. Modern hearing aids would make the child's life easier and more comfortable. But his parents can't afford them.
