Muhammad is three years old. At the age of one and a half, he was diagnosed with autism and a delay in psycho-verbal development corresponding to a degree of moderate mental retardation. The boy does not understand spoken language, is unsteady and exhibits stereotyped behaviour; he lacks self-care skills. After several courses of rehabilitation Muhammad started to show interest in pictures, alphabet and books. He spontaneously names some numbers and letters, plays with cars and lines them up.
