Thirteen still blind puppies were dropped off at the shelter gate on a cold night. The staff warmed the babies and took them out. The weakest was a girl named Huska. Veterinary doctors made very cautious prognoses, but she survived against all odds. She is now just over a year old, but when she was a puppy, playing with her siblings, she injured her eye. Her condition was aggravated by the infection she was being treated for at the time. The eye could not be saved, but it was impossible to remove it completely immediately after the injury, as the dog could not withstand the anaesthesia.
Now the young dog is stronger and ready for surgery on the eye.
