Renat and other children need help from a psychologist in adapting to foster families

Renat was 9 years old when his foster parents took him from the orphanage. At first, he was calm and obedient, but soon his behavior changed: he began to be rude, lock himself in his room, and refuse to follow simple rules. His foster parents noticed that the situation only worsened over time: Renat started to show aggression, break things, and lie. In the small town where they live, there were no opportunities to seek help from specialists. In a chat for foster parents, someone advised his mother to contact the online service of the "Find a Family" foundation. The psychologist helped her understand that Renat is going through a difficult period of adaptation, fearing that he will be returned to the orphanage, and is unconsciously testing his foster parents' love. Unfortunately, similar problems are common among children abandoned by their parents. They need support and understanding. The foundation's psychologists conduct individual consultations and support groups that help children overcome adaptation difficulties and find their place in a new family.
