Zakhro was born at 27 weeks, weighing less than a kilogram. She was tiny and very weak. Doctors did everything to ensure that she survived, and after two months she was finally allowed to go home. Her parents thought that the worst was already behind them.
But when Zakhro was four months old, they began to notice that something was wrong. The girl did not look at the light, did not follow her toys, did not look for her mom and dad with her eyes. Doctors confirmed their fears - Zakhro has retinopathy. This means that her vision is rapidly deteriorating, and if she does not undergo surgery, she may remain blind for life.
Now Zakhro cannot see. She only hears her parents' voices. And without treatment, she will not have a chance to see those who love her so much.
