Sonya was born with a complex congenital malformation - spina bifida. This means that in utero some vertebrae did not close and the spinal cord on the back of the child formed a hernia. Sonya had an operation to suture the hernia immediately after birth. But everything below the hernia, the girl cannot feel. Because of the diagnosis she has no support in her legs, she cannot stand on her feet.
But verticalization is necessary for the correct and harmonious development of every child. Any way you look at it, a human being is an upright walking creature, the upright position and the action of gravity are the cornerstone of the construction of all the vital functions of the body. That is why the specialists of the foundation "Spina Bifida" chose a verticalizer for Sonya. Now Sonya can stand daily. Her heart, blood vessels and digestive system - all the internal organs - now work properly. The load on the spine and hips is distributed correctly. Sonya is now much more comfortable to develop. The vertical leveller is active - it has two big wheels and Sonya already turns them quite skillfully and moves around the apartment.

We waited a long time for the standing machine, but it was worth the wait. Sofia now runs around the house on an equal footing with everyone else, playing catch-up with her sister. Emotional background of her daughter also improved significantly. She began to laugh and joke more. I hope that her physical health will also improve with time. In order to develop properly, Sonya needs an upright!
Sonia's mother bakes very tasty cakes of incredible beauty. And her main helper is her daughter Sonya. The little girl kneads dough, whips cream with a mixer and decorates cakes. She also knows how to turn on the microwave, washing machine and vacuum cleaner. And then she takes it all to her children's corner and plays with dolls, baking pies, cooking soups and compotes. She makes clay into foods (vegetables, berries, pasta), which she then uses to make dinners for her dolls.
Sonya is developed beyond her years. She has an excellent memory! She knows the stories from her favorite books by heart. When mom reads aloud, Sonya always asks a million questions, and any reading turns into a question-answer quiz. Incredibly sociable and open-minded little girl dreams of going to kindergarten as soon as possible, or better yet - straight to school, like her older sister.
But cheerful Sonya's dreams are not easy to fulfill. In order to go to kindergarten, she needs a means of transportation. After all, Sonya can't walk. She has a severe congenital malformation - spina bifida (cleft spine). Because of it Sonya cannot feel her legs.
A specialist from our foundation, which works with the family, picked up a special technical device for Sonya - a vertical wheeled device. In it Sonya will be able to stand and move around by herself! She will be able to be successful along with her peers, she can go to kindergarten.
The verticalizer is also necessary for the normal development of the girl. Standing position allows you to distribute the load on the spine and hip joints. The heart, blood vessels, and digestive system - all internal organs - begin to work properly. And hands are also freed, the child can play and look at the world from his or her own height.
The fund "Spina Bifida" collects money for purchasing of an erectilizator for Sonya. It is impossible to get it from the state under IPRA, as it is not included in the federal list of technical rehabilitation means.
