She underwent surgery to correct heart defects. Doctors successfully repaired the defect in the septum between the atria with a special patch and corrected the abnormal positioning of the pulmonary veins.

After the procedure, the girl's blood flow returned to normal, which significantly improved the oxygen supply to the body. The load on the heart decreased, which, in turn, improved her respiratory functions and overall activity.

Elif needs surgery to correct her heart defects!

During a routine examination, the pediatrician heard a murmur in the heart of five-month-old Elif. The examinations confirmed the presence of abnormal heart development.

The baby was additionally examined at the A. N. Bakulev Center. Elif was found to have an extra vena cava and holes in the septum between the chambers of the heart. These abnormalities disrupt natural blood circulation and lead to deterioration of the physical condition and diseases of the heart and other internal organs.

The cardiologists concluded that it was necessary to perform an operation to correct heart defects in the next two months. There is a high probability that at a later age, the surgical intervention may be more complex and extensive.
