Khalid is only 6 months old. He has a severe heart defect and is now in intensive care. The baby is desperately fighting for life, he needs to continue treatment, to be under 24-hour control of doctors. We need your help to give the boy a chance to cope.
When Khalid was 2 months old, at a routine checkup, his parents learned that their son has a heart condition. The situation was so serious that little Khalid was sent the same day to the Republican Cardiology Center. The doctors there said bluntly: “The only chance to save the boy is surgery. Immediately take your son to Moscow”. It is impossible to carry out the operation at the place of residence in Kyrgyzstan, surgeons do not have enough experience and the necessary modern equipment.

The operation was successful, but the anatomy of the heart in such babies is very complicated, and complications began. On the third day Khalid suffered a cardiac arrest. The boy was saved by a miracle, but due to blood circulation disorder the brain was damaged. For a month the boy lay motionless, breathing with the help of ventilator.
Now his condition remains serious and he is still in intensive care. But he has regained independent breathing, and his arms and legs are moving. When his condition stabilizes, the boy will be transferred to the rehabilitation department, there are chances for recovery.
Staying in the intensive care unit is very expensive. Khalid has no Russian citizenship. The funds that the family could find cover only a small part of the costs associated with treatment.
