Nina has three children - two sons and a daughter. The eldest boy was born prematurely, and Nina still has to fight for his health, as it is impossible to cope with such consequences as CNS damage, developmental delay and scoliosis quickly. In addition, the boy has weak respiratory organs - he quickly catches infections and often gets sick. The younger children are healthy, but if someone brings home a seasonal virus, they all get sick in turn.
The situation is aggravated by the fact that in the apartment where Nina and the children live there is an old wooden door - a draft enters through the cracks and the house is always cold. It is also unsafe - the flimsy construction does not protect not only from draughts, but also from intruders. But the family has nothing to replace it with. Nina's husband left the family after the birth of the third child, leaving Nina alone to take care of the children, pay the mortgage and pay off the loans, which were taken for repairs, but it was not finished.
Nina simply could not cope alone. When she had nothing to pay for her child's treatment, she bought a massage table and learned to do almost all rehabilitation procedures herself. But replacing the door is beyond her ability.
