Vanya was born with a spinal developmental disorder. When he was seven months old, his parents lost their parental rights, and he was placed in a children's home in Smolensk.
Due to his illness, the boy developed intestinal problems, and there was such severe muscle tension that he couldn't straighten his legs due to pain, leading to deformities.
In 2021, Vanya underwent surgery where special pins were inserted into his legs. After that, he was put in a cast from the waist down to help his legs take the correct shape. For a little boy, such painful immobility is a severe trial. However, Vanya managed it with the help of a nanny from the "Road of Life" foundation, Lyudmila. She comforted him, assisted him during procedures, and helped turn the boy, who was encased in plaster, onto his stomach.
There have been more surgeries and rehabilitations since then; the boy is growing, and the treatment is complex and multi-stage. Now Vanya is coming back again—he is scheduled for surgery and a recovery period. Throughout this time, a nanny will be by his side to calm him, support him, and follow all the doctors' recommendations. Please help us cover the nanny's expenses so that Vanya can continue on his path to walking independently
