We walk barefoot or in slippers at home, put on shoe covers at the clinic, and we need a shift at school. Outdoor shoes are not only dirt and sand, they are also various infections. This is a disaster for the shelter, because we have not only healthy adult cats, but also kittens, teenagers, weakened animals, and those who are undergoing treatment.
To protect our patients, we use special disinfection mats at the entrance (as in polyclinics). It is important that the guests of the shelter do not bring dangerous infections to the shelter on their shoes.
The shelter's veterinarians also need such mats. For example, when they move from the quarantine zone (where animals with diseases are located) to the premises of the general flock (where 200 healthy tails live).
Please support our collection for the purchase of 40 disinfection mats of different sizes! Mats wear out over time: they need to be changed regularly to remain effective.
