Abdu-Rahman is only three years old, but he has already faced many challenges due to Down syndrome and other malformations.
At one month of age, he underwent surgery to remove a bowel obstruction. At four months old he underwent heart surgery and at two and a half years old he underwent another surgical procedure.
At the moment, the child cannot sit up without support and cannot crawl. However, experts believe that Abdu-Rahman needs regular rehabilitation therapy and give optimistic prognoses.
Now the boy will undergo a rehabilitation course, which includes classes with instructors in therapeutic physical training, Voita and Bobat therapy, as well as massage sessions. In addition, an orthopaedist will work with him.
