Alexey is only 3.5 years old. Despite being born two months premature and facing a serious diagnosis of osteogenesis imperfecta, he is enjoying life just like his peers.
Lyosha has been through a lot since his first days: in utero fractures of both shins, shoulder and forearm, and then trauma caused the length of his legs to become different. But thanks to treatment at PIMU in Nizhny Novgorod, the boy has been living without fractures for a year now! The boy goes to kindergarten, where he enjoys doing gymnastics, playing with friends and dancing with his older sister. He enthusiastically helps his father to build bird feeders and assemble furniture.
Now our ward will have a complex surgery on his right hip to equalize the length of his legs and prevent new injuries. This will enable him to walk and run independently and freely.
On the Tooba platform, the foundation is raising money for the metal structure needed for the surgery. And on the Foundation's website, the fundraising for the surgery itself is almost complete. Your support will be an important contribution to improving the quality of life of little Alexey!
