Ahmad contracted an acute form of otitis media at the age of 8 months, after which he suffered a developmental setback. He was examined by various specialists, but his condition continued to deteriorate, and no one could determine the cause. At 10-11 months old, he had his first epileptic seizure. After that, he was prescribed treatment, and after a month the seizures stopped. For three years, the child received drugs, which was also accompanied by a developmental setback. It was impossible to stop treatment, as this could provoke new seizures. Ahmad is now 7 years old, and during this time he has completed many rehabilitation courses. Nevertheless, he has difficulty understanding spoken language, difficulties in communicating with children, he does not always respond to his name, and his speech is limited to individual words. Ahmad needs long-term rehabilitation to develop his speech and cognitive skills. Unfortunately, his family is unable to pay for all the necessary courses on their own.
