Amir was diagnosed with congenital cataracts in both eyes, a genetic condition that was unfortunately passed down through his mother's side of the family.
Today Amir is only 4 months old and his world is a blur of blurred outlines, devoid of bright colours. He does not react to rattles yet. But he listens to fairy tales with pleasure, hums when he hears music.
Congenital cataract without timely surgical intervention leads to irreversible consequences: amblyopia - ‘lazy eye’ - and a significant decrease in vision. Amir runs the risk of a lifelong obscuration, which will be a serious obstacle to education, work and a full life.
Fortunately, modern medicine is giving Amir a chance. His parents turned to a professor, a leading ophthalmic surgeon of a Moscow clinic, the author of a patented method of cataract treatment. He is ready to perform the operation, which will give Amir the opportunity to see the world in all its colours.
But the operation is very expensive, and the parents are forced to turn to you for help.
Each of your contributions is a chance for Amir to live a happy and full life full of bright emotions and discoveries!
Let's together give Amir a chance to see!
