Disabled children, even beyond infancy, continue to use diapers due to the severity of their illnesses. For parents caring for such children, this is a large monthly expense, because they are required on an ongoing basis. Often, such a child is raised in a single-parent family, so there is regularly not enough money for the basic necessities.
